How EthnoGuessr Works

  Each round starts with a unique composite portrait. It might look vaguely familiar or completely foreign, depending on your cultural knowledge and exposure.

• Guess the Origin
  Click on the global map to mark the location where you believe this ethnic group historically comes from. Don’t worry—you're scored based on how close your guess is, not whether it’s perfect.

• Learn and Reflect
  After submitting your guess, you’ll receive:

  • The name of the ethnic group

  • Their traditional homeland

  • A brief but insightful overview of their history, migrations, and cultural context

  • A score based on proximity

• Daily Challenge Format
