Jump Shot is the ultimate game for NBA fans who think they know their players inside and out. Whether you live for buzzer-beaters or just enjoy testing your basketball IQ, this silhouette-guessing game brings the thrill of the court straight to your screen.

How to Play Jump Shot

Each day, a mystery NBA player silhouette appears, and your job is to guess who it is — using only six attempts. But there’s a twist: only active NBA players are included, so make sure your guesses are current!

As you guess, colored tiles provide vital clues:

  • Team and Division:

    • Green = exact match

    • Yellow (Division) = same conference (e.g., West Pacific & West Northwest)

    • White = no match

  • Jersey Number:

    • Green = perfect number match

    • Yellow = same tens place (e.g., #13 and #19)

    • White = no match

  • Born, Age, and Position:

    • Green = exact match

    • Yellow (Age) = within 2 years (e.g., 26 and 28)

    • Yellow (Position) = same general category (e.g., PG and SG = both guards)

    • White = no match

Winning Tips for Jump Shot

  • Start Broad: Open with a well-known, versatile player like LeBron James or Jayson Tatum to maximize your clue exposure.

  • Use the Clues Wisely: Pay attention to Age and Division hints — yellow tiles can still narrow your options fast.

  • Think Positions: If the tile is yellow, try guessing another player in the same role group (guards, forwards, or centers).

  • Research if Needed: Use team rosters or NBA apps to browse active players if you’re stumped — there’s no shame in scouting!
